Application of Ultrasonic Inspection Instrument (Comprehensive Inspection Instrument)
The monitoring of partial discharge in operating power equipment is an important component of condition based maintenance. When partial discharge occurs in power equipment, physical phenomena such as sound, light, electricity, heat, and magnetism are produced. The sound is ultrasound, which is a sound wave above 20KHz that cannot be heard by the human ear. It propagates around the sound source in the form of spherical waves. Ultrasonic waves are mechanical waves that are not affected by electromagnetic environments. The method of using received ultrasonic signals to determine the presence and location of partial discharge is easier to detect partial discharge faults first than infrared cameras and ultraviolet cameras, because when partial discharge occurs, vibration often generates ultrasonic signals before physical signals such as thermal, optical, and magnetic signals.

Ultrasonic inspection instrument (comprehensive inspection instrument) function
(1) Temperature and humidity display, GPS positioning function;

(6) Discover and locate insulator discharge on the iron tower, creepage of outdoor cable heads, and partial discharge of underground cables;
(7) In the handover and preventive testing of the power system, the device is used in conjunction with a partial discharge meter for the main transformer and GIS partial discharge test. If there is partial discharge, it can be distinguished as internal discharge or external discharge. If it is external discharge, the specific discharge point can be located;
(8) In the factory tests of large oil stained transformers and GIS manufacturers, this device is used in conjunction with a partial discharge instrument during partial discharge testing. If there is discharge, it cannot be seen on the screen of the partial discharge instrument whether it is internal discharge or external discharge. A handheld line patrol instrument is used for scanning. It can detect and locate external discharge more quickly, and if there is no external discharge, it is judged as internal discharge. For the factory partial discharge test of dry-type transformers, using this device in conjunction with a partial discharge tester can quickly distinguish between internal discharge and external discharge. In addition, scanning dry-type transformers that operate with electricity can accurately and quickly detect and locate both internal and external discharges;
(9) Large mechanical equipment bearings can detect and locate mechanical failures caused by poor lubrication using this device;
(10) Leak detection of high-pressure sealed gas and liquid.
